Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains what Sumter County Busted Mugshots may receive when a visitor uses the pages, search tools, or contact channels, how that information is used, and when it may be shared. Using the service means accepting these practices as they are described here. Outside government portals and search providers have their own policies.

Information You Send

A visitor may submit a contact message, an email address, or details included in that message. Search terms entered into a third-party search box pass to the provider that operates the tool. The provider may collect the query, browser details, and other information under its own privacy terms. Do not enter sensitive personal information into a search field or message unless it is needed to ask a records question.

Technical Data and Cookies

Hosting, analytics, advertising, and security services may automatically receive technical data such as an IP address, browser type, device details, referring page, approximate time, and pages viewed. Cookies or similar storage may remember preferences, measure traffic, support the search widget, or help prevent abuse. A browser can be set to refuse or delete cookies, although some features may not work as expected.

How Information Is Used

Information may be used to respond to a message, maintain the pages, understand which county-record topics are useful, troubleshoot errors, protect the service, measure advertising, and disclose referral relationships. Search queries are handled by the third-party provider that receives them. Contact details are used to answer the request and keep a record of the exchange when needed for support or safety.

Sumter County Busted Mugshots does not create or control official jail, court, sheriff, or corrections records. A request sent to a government office through its own portal is governed by that office's policy, not by this notice.

Links to Other Services

Pages link to Sumter County Jail, the Sheriff's Office, city records portals, Georgia Courts, the Georgia Department of Corrections, federal locators, news outlets, and secondary pages. A visitor who follows a link leaves this service and should read the destination's privacy notice and terms. The destination may collect information, use cookies, or keep a submitted request under rules that are different from these.

Who May Receive Data

Information may be available to hosting providers, search partners, analytics providers, advertising networks, and technical vendors that help operate the pages. A contact message may be shared with a service provider that helps manage correspondence. Information may also be disclosed to law enforcement or another authority when required by a valid legal order, lawful process, or a good-faith safety need. The service does not sell a promise of confidentiality for a message sent through an outside tool.

Security Is a Best Effort

Reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures are used to protect information that the service controls. No internet transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be secure. A message sent through email, a search provider, or a linked government portal can be exposed to risks controlled by that recipient. Do not send passwords, payment-card data, medical details, or unnecessary personal identifiers.

Visitors Under 18

The service is not directed to children under 18. A minor should not submit a contact message or personal data. If a parent or guardian believes a minor's information was sent to the service, use the contact route to request review or deletion when the service controls the information.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on the data and the applicable law, a person may ask what personal information the service controls, request correction, ask for deletion, object to a use, or request a copy. Some records must be retained for security, legal, or transaction reasons, and data held by a search partner, government office, or news outlet must be requested from that recipient. A request should identify the message, account, or device information involved without sending unnecessary sensitive data.

Updates to This Notice

Practices and vendors can change. A revised Privacy Notice takes effect when it is posted, unless a later date is stated. The date of the latest revision may be shown with the notice. Continued use after an update means the revised practices apply to future activity.
